current music: nandyan yung Waiting in Vain and Track 17, but I'm not really listening.
Where my attention is focused: LAKERS vs. SPURS! GO SPURS GO!
"Profound thought from over the weekend": Sometimes a green mango can be amazingly ripe. :)
Ok naman ang mga araw ko. Gising, turo, uwi, tulog.
Haha. No, it's not that boring.
Today my kids asked for me to do "something different". As in "party for the batch different".
No, it's not like me to be insulted. Pressured, definitely. They want something. Ewan ko ba. I can't afford anything for them. I'm just a volunteer tutor. If they want something, they do it themselves. The most I can offer is ice cream. That's it.
Anyway. I decided to use the leftover cheese and tomato sauce for pizza for myself. Yey! :D I like my handiwork. It's nice, and I tossed in some ground leaf basil and oregano on the sauce so it'll taste good. :)
Haha! Hindi yan lalaitin ng brother ko. But I wouldn't know. He didn't get any. Hahaha!
By the way, I visited Ninong Joey's place for Tita Helen's birthday. I must say, I have tasted the BEST mango shake of my entire life! So delicious! Wow! Aliw din ako sa potato salad, sa vegetarian barbecue, the cake... and the gelatin...oh my God... It's hard to describe... they must've spiked it with cream or condesed milk or something... ibang klase yung tama nya sa bibig... so good!
Why is it that when we visit our extended family, the food they serve is better than anything we can serve them from our own homes?
On Saturday, after whatever proceedings of the sportsfest, I shall head for my OrSem Escudo 2nd interview for TnT. Yes, I passed. I kick ass, but I have to re-study my Ateneo know-how and prepare a costume. Then I shall troop to St. Ignatius village to do the A-Days meeting. I'll miss the rest of Sportsfest, so that's sad.
Like this every summer. There's a portion where I'm not there. And when I see people, I'll not be able to relate. But I'm able to catch up for most of it anyway. Hahaha!
*sigh*
I miss school. I miss the pubroom. I miss hearing mass in the chapel. I miss the ice cool of the library, and the hellish heat of Colayco at summer. I miss my friends. I miss walking to Starbucks and Blueskies. I miss my crush.
But when I think about it... no, not really. :)
