now to wrap up my kids' grades.
from experience, taking care of my students grades is something of an unnecessary formality. You see, back when I started in LnK, I took tremendous effort to grade every test, check every paper, record each point they score. Then I place these kids against the others in a search for who is "most deserving" of these scholarships. I also marked down those whom I thought weren't fully deserving of a full scholarship.
It was an unfortunate situation that, in spite of these kids' poor performance, they were still able to receieve scholarships from our church group. They didn't deserve anything, but we still gave them. Why? Kasi kawawa naman sila.
I'm a bit bitter. Some would say it's wrong of me to be cynical because they really do need all the help they can get. I however, understand that it's been three years that I've been doing my job, and not all the kids do theirs.
But fine. TOmorrow, I'll be handing out the grades. And yes, I will still give as much as I can to as many as I can.
I will draw the line on the kids who are always absent. For wasting our time and theirs, they REALLY don't deserve anything.
