Which Dysfunctional Care Bear Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

As you can see, it's around 4 AM. That's because I woke up at around 2 AM. I couldn't get back to sleep, no matter how pleasant my thoughts drifted to. Oh well. At least I'm up early.

Apparently, Mom and Dad couldn't find a carpool service for my sister. That now means I'll be primary driver, and that I also have to step up my practice driving. That means I've got one week... minus Wednesday, where I'll have orgtours and music practice, and Friday to Sunday, where I'll be staffing for Days.

It's nice when people ask me about LnK. :p I've spent the better part of my tutoring career justifying what I do in my summer. (Notice I hardly invited any high school friends to tag along with me.) For too long, it was my escape from the problems; I did the work to take my mind off some things. I still do the work to keep myself from dwelling on them. Now, I do this thing for very different reasons: friends, the chance to help kids, the chance to work with friends both old and new, the stories you can tell after each day. It's still undeniably fun. It'd be more fun with more people. But that's ok. It'll be nice any how.

==============

Yesterday was pretty fun. I woke up late. :p I went practice driving with Dad. I still can't quite get parking. Banas lang talaga. But fine. I'll get it down hopefully.

After some net surfing, I took the customary walk up the hill heading out to Della. I'm not sure whether it was the rain or the colder wheather, but I gave up on walking. I hailed a taxi passing by, and ended up spending fifty pesos for a trip to della that usual costs 16 pesos plus walking.

I sat in the church and prayed. I then met up with Bay, Debbi, Carla, Mel, Jeloi, Migs Tirona and Kat. We headed to the garden room and played cards till Perry, VJ, Big Pao, Lugxi, Chrissie, Fatz and Eric got there. We took taxis and went to RaPao's birthday party.

Okey na okey yung party. Mmmm... wait, lemme qualify: we didn't really participate in the "party proper"...that's what RaPao's family were busy with. We just spent the day with the birthday celebrant. :D And that was cool. The food was great, although I think Carla couldn't finish her food (she ended up getting the pig's ear. ech.). I, on the other hand, became slightly addicted to the buko pandan. Yey! Sweet.

Migs left with Debbi, Bay and Mel and tripped back to Katipunan where Mel was to be picked up and where the three others live nearby. We sat together chatting, and then went up to RaPao's room to chill (after a CR mishap c/o Carla, ahaha!). We watched a pirate DVD of Troy, while birthday boy and myself told fortunes for the girls. (at this point, umuwi na si Jeloi kasi ayaw nyang gabihin siya) Wala lang, nagiging manghuhula na talaga si RaPao! I gave him card meanings and spreads, and now he's pretty good at it. Aliw din mga results para sa kanya at kay Perry. :p Cool din yung reading ni Chrissie, kasi may parang sobrang natamaang tugma. :p

They decided to head to the Riverbanks, but I decided against coming along. It was late and my cell was dead. I also knew that past 10 PM, I'd have trouble getting home.

Right now, I think I should have come along. When I got back home in front of the computer, chatting with Michiko about my day (awww... di siya nakasama), my Dad arrived and asked "Akala ko may party ka?" THat's when it struck me: I missed the "real" party. Haay.

Either way, I don't mind. Like Michiko said, kailangan nang mamili ng mga gimik, lalo na't magiging sunud-sunod na sila. And to think next week na pasukan.
