current music: RAPPER'S DELIGHT!! :D (Classics!)

nakaka-tanga talaga. kanina, nag-aksaya ako ng pera. Bumili ako ng ewan promo game/toy/ewan ng Sonic sa McDo (dahil last day na raw ng promo nila). Fine fine. I realize I can pass that thing on to my baby cousins when I see them on Monday. Pero ewan. Sixty pesos din yun.

Then there was the long walk home. Seriously, my feet are so tired. Hehe. At least nakabili ako ng Gatorade (And it Works! :D), so may energy ako! ;p Sayang lang pera, though. :p

Tapos, bumili naman ako ng expansion pack ng Rise of Nations. 100 Pesos naman. Mhen! Isang org din yun!

Which isn't so bad, in retrospect. That means I now will have to SERIOUSLY decide which orgs I shall take part in.

Now, I'm a Heightser no sweat. Siya na ata ang pinakamalapit sa isang home org ngayon. Thing now, is whether I'll re-app for AMS, Kaingin and LFC. Then, I'm being *heavily* recruited by the people from Strains and TheGuidon.

This is where things get hairy. All that's certain is I'm not going back to LFC. Ito'y dahil wala naman akong ginawa dun! And besides, I can't do *Hard Core* filmmaking work. I therefore see no further use of myself in the org. So sorry Cerz, I'm not going back. :(

For AMS, the only thing that's keeping me loyal are: 1.) a promise I made to Mela to support her in AMS and 2.) chilling with people I know there. Thing is, I don't feel the pressure to join the org over again to be inactive and just lounge at the room. Ang tanga naman nun. Sayang sa pera. As for promise ko kay Mela.... well... I think I can still keep it in spite of me quitting. Ewan. I've yet to talk to her. Basta predominant mood ko, ayoko na.

Kaingin? Well, that's a trick question. Remember that ad I love by Adidas? Well, here's the whole thing, just in case:

Impossible is a just big word thrown aroud by small men,
who find it easier to live in a world they've been given
than explore the power they have to chage it.

Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion.
Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare.
Impossible is potential.
Impossible is temporary.

Impossible is Nothing.

Ayan. Either way, being in Kaingin is sort of my way (apart from Days) to "explore my change-the-world power". I love the kids, and I like the people (most of the time). I just don't like the mood around the org when I'm there. Ewan. Last year, people were suddenly so uptight and so closed when I was around. Yung tipong galit sa akin. Ewan. Pakshet na lang yan. Alam ko may galit talaga sa akin. I've already apolgized, but all this time, ayaw pa nya akong patawarin.

Tangina. Bahala siya. Pasalamat siya di pa ako nagsasalita. Baka naman may masaktan diyan.

But I don't wanna quit the org just because of that. I don't wanna stop doing work I love because of such a (to me) petty difference. Ewan. I do know is that the work I do in LnK is somehow, my way of doing the work I love. Therefore, I don't need Kaingin. Does Kaingin need me? Maybe. Thing is, I forsee this summer to be very, very busy, and LnK may not be an option anymore. So we'll see na lang.

I've wanted to join Guidon, mainly because I think it's good for my career. I'd like to join Strains because I think I'd like the people there (and I really think I will! ü).

I don't know; priority ko ang Heights saka A-Days saka acads (and hopefully, LnK for one more summer). Pucha, I gave up being a TnT for A-Days! I gave up Ronnie's job offer because I knew di kaya yan ng academics ko! Haay. Oh well. That was painful, but necessary.

So we'll see. Adventure na 'to.

current music: 99 Problems - Jay-Z

no, di na ako masyadong bad trip.

Giniginaw ako. it's raining at parang kating-kati ako mag-basketball. mmm. oh well. I took another long nap instead. which is wrong, because my Sci10 capsule papers won't do themselves.

hehe. me and parents discussed something over lunch: who gets to drive the car when. :p

apparently, on mondays and fridays I get to keep the car to myself after I drop my brother to school. on TTH scheds, siya naman ang uuwi ng kotse kasi morning and strictly morning lang sched ko.

which is weird, but I can deal. what if friends are looking for me in the TTH swings? I dunno. commute na lang ako.

pero pag friday, it's almost as if I've licence to go tripping on friday nights. heheh.

ideas, anyone?

current music: silent

Today was a terrific day, as my days go. Apart from me missing the round (again) I had a blast. Salamat talaga sa mga A-Dayzers. Tigasin talaga mga 'to!

Day kicked off with basketball. I was slightly annoyed because I was too early. Good thing Cy arrived early too, and kept me company. Hehe. Magic! He just appeared!

Kuya Third arrived with his kid brother. Charles, Bones, LA, Joshua, Kuya Chito came too. Played and played ball. Charles taught me how to shoot right! Yeaaah! (one smooth motion, he tells me. yey!)

Ate at Manang's. Saw Mara, then she lost us after a while (funny story. hehe.) Bathed, ran into Mark, Nancy and Ate Kathy at Manang's on our way out. Yey yey, more Dayzers! :p

I swung by the library to negotiate the books Cy was borrowing. They didn't want to renew it until next week, when it's actually due. Fine, fine. At least they're with Cy. I then headed out to Hobby Stop to catch up with them. Played one game of Warcraft 3. Hehehe.

There, I was with my past, present and future. (Yes, I'm not trying to sound poetic or shit.)

On my left side, was Noel Utanes, a friend way back from Pisay. :p Hehehehe. He was playing Ragnarok with UP buddies. He didn't notice me when I talked to him. Snob. :p That or I didn't talk loud enough. Shit.

(Lord, help me. Sana hindi ako ganyan sa mga kaibigan ko balang araw.)

A short distance was VJ, Paeng and Migo! They were playing Gunbound. Wehehe. Migo said something about watching a movie next week. "Planning" stage, he calls it. Ano, LnK? Sine daw? Spider-man ba yan? ü Call ko!

And of course, playing Generals were LA and Joshua. LA apparently likes strategy games, while Josh is the NBA Live addict. :p Josh got to play Cy in a "NBA Greatest Game" battle between the Western All-Stars and the 90's All-stars. :) Cy's one-point lead at the final buzzer clinched. :) All this time, kwentuhan kami ni LA. La lang. Nice.

Got back to Ateneo, then was batch eval. hehehe. andaming cool things napag-usapan. Medyo kawawa lang si Cy. :p Too bad I missed the round.

Yep. Future ko talaga.:)

As for rounds... well, maybe next time. :)

PS: Mitzi, if you're reading this, nakilala ko rin si Twinkle. Yeah, the girl who made him "kilig". Dayzer sha. :p

This shit's fun. :)

You can take the test at OKCupid.com. And yes, hindi sila spammers. Astig sila. :)

The Boy Next Door
Random Gentle Love Dreamer (RGLDm)

Kind, yearning, playful, you are The Boy Next Door. You're looking for real Love, a lot like girls do. It might not be manly, but it's sweet.

We think the next three years will be very exciting and fruitful ones for you. Your spontaneous, creative side makes you a charming date, and we think you have a horny side just waiting to shine. Or glisten, rather. You enter new relationships unusually hopeful, and the first moments are especially glorious. If you've had some things not work out before, so what.

Your exact opposite:
The 5-Night Stand

Deliberate Brutal Sex Master

On paper, most girls would name the Boy Next Door as their ideal mate. In the real world, however, you're often passed over for more dangerous or masculine men. You're the typical "nice guy:" without just a touch of cockiness, you're doomed with girls. A shoulder to cry on? Okay, sure. But never a penis to hold.

More than any other type, Boys Next Door evolve as they get older. As we said, many find true love, but some fail miserably in the search. These tarnished few grow up to be The Men Next Door, who are creepy as hell, offering backrubs to kids and what not.

current music: I'm Still in Love - Sean Paul feat. Sasha

Bwiset naman 'tong LaunchCast. It plays one song. Then on the next song, it'll lag/hang. If it doesn't totally screw up, it's bound to crack come the next six tracks or so (or like right now!). Anyway.

Yesterday finally dawned to me: I'm gonna write. Write write write.

And not just wishy-washy blogging type writing. I'm talking the kind of work that makes people stop, look around and observe the color of the ceiling before continuing to read. The kind wherein you'll realize your shirt's making your back itch or your underwear's a tad too loose. The sort that doesn't need to play like the little pins of a music box against a brass spool, but can sound like the sharp kick of a guitar.

Ewan.

I was talking to Jilly yesterday. Medyo hinusga namin ang aking pagiging manunulat, at nadiskubre ko na andami ko pang kailangang matutunan. I don't expect to be like EJ, who writes and writes and reads and reads. I don't feel the intense need to be published (yet). I just wanna be good. For if I'm not trying to be good, what the heck am I doing?

I borrowed her book, The American Poetry Anthology. Some of the works are sorta familiar, but not familiar to most of you. It's a good place to begin. I'm never fond of reading poetry, (and some close friends know this irony) but now, I have to like it.

I never liked forcing myself to like something. Anyway.

I'm making my mind to really take Sir Yuzon's class seriously. He admitted he's "a soft touch for grades" so it's not gonna be about making an A. It'll be about making a great poem.

And if I can write a good poem, it's a good start for everything else.

Pero sana hindi ako katulad ni Dan Brown. Medyo disappointing ng ending. :p

Hehe. It's almost like four years ago... yes, a cycle is about to begin anew... ü

current music: the incessant noise of typing.

Alone
Lonliness dominates you. You can hide it well, but
its there, and your friends can see it. You
constantly feel alone, and need to do things to
fill your time. Your afraid to tell people
this, but sooner or later it gets out in a bad
way, and you think you screwed up everything.
And when you are in love is when you are sad
the most. (Please Vote)

I'm in the RSF (now CAMS) killing time typing. Hopefully Ate Tintin of the OSA will show up soon. That or somebody from the Pub can come up with the key to open the door. Waiting sucks. Waiting without a chair to sit on sucks worse. Waiting without a chair with nothing to do while being hungry without breakfast really really sucks. So I decided to sort of rectify one "really" off the "really really suck" situation and get a chair and type in front of a computer. There. Now it just really sucks.

I did catch the morning mass. Yung second half. So I missed the homily. Fine fine. But I did spend a quiet time praying the rosary. Syempre, dala-dala pa ang Handbook of Prayers, kasi di ko pa kabisado ang Hail Holy Queen. Hehehe. Ang tanga. Kinailangan pa ng kodigo.

Oh well. Ambango naman kasi ng rosaryo kong bago, paano di ako magaganahang magdasal? ü

So now, I'm killing time. And fixing my layout. I'm thinking about breakfast, but that'll have to wait. I am, however, feeling my skin start to stick to my bones as the stuff inside wasa being scratched out, so maybe I ought to swing back by Gonzaga to grab a bite pronto.

There's also a matter of a certain group report to fix. Hopefull Ma'am won't mind me submitting a handwritten report instead of something I typed out. Apparently some of my groupmates did not text nor send via email their copies of the papers. So now I'm fucked. So kung F kami, F shall stand for fucker sophomore classmates. Fuckers.

Haay. Alright. Now at least that's out of my system until the next hour or so when I shall see them. In fairness, they're nice enough people. Just lazy like shit.

Patay! The shit's due in an hour and I haven't started! Dammit.

Paano ba yan? If you said you'd do it, but they didn't do their fair share of the work, is it still your fault? How could you cover for them if they didn't even try to do anything?

Fuck.

current music: You - Athena Cage

It's Sunday morning and my body still hurts from basketball with the A-Days guys yesterday morning.[nakita ko si Balma. hehehe] I slept in, and in turn, I did not wake up early for Mass. Shet. Maybe I can hear Mass later this afternoon. But people who from exactly one year ago will definitely know why I don't like going there. Even if it's just two blocks away, I don't want to hear Mass there.

The memory of people I once called friends just sucks, and hurts unmercifully.

I'm trying to do something before Dad wakes up and takes us out for more driving practice. Maybe I can play something in the PC for a while. NBA Live 2003 is calling me agian. Hehe. Then again, I think I hear the keys tinkling, so I dunno. All i can say is I haven't had breakfast, so as far as sounds go, there's a thunderous rumbling.

I think I hurt my foot playing ball yesterday. No, it's not anybody's fault. I just think I didn't pick the right shoes. Yep, those blue and white kicks I'm so proud of? Well, they're sort of hard on my feet. I suppose the rubber isn't properly broken in yet (as I only use them every now and then), but still. It's hard, and I get the impression I'm running with wooden shoes. I guess I ought to start playing more often. Too bad though. They do look real nice, and frequent play just assures their destruction.

When I got home at 2 PM (I had to borrow books from the library so Cy could use them for his paper), it rained. Hard. Hence, I could no longer leave the house and commute to either Paul's party, Kuya Third's "round", or Fete de la Musique. Man. I've never been to Paul's place, to Fete (been wanting to for 3 years, but never get permitted. hehe), nor to a Days round. Wahaha. ang loser.

But it's ok. I get to rest my feet. And chill at home drinking French Vanilla coffee (my favorite kind. ü)

I dunno what happened and why time yesterday seemed to zip quickly. I was just at home. Was I really enjoying myself? Can't be. But yeah. Before I knew it, it was midnight, and I had to turn in.

current music: the same list of senti music, because I need to chill.

Observation: Somebody tried to open porn on my username! Must've been when I was asleep and didn't log off. Meatbags.

I'm trying to make this quick. Chimoms is heading to UPCAT refreshers in a few minutes. Late na siya, if we're gonna be strict about it.

Ako naman, basketball with A-Dayzers. Yey. :) Miss ko nang maglaro kasama nila. Miss ko nang maglaro ng basket period.

I like my 1st week of school. Sort of a surprisingly calm period. Less work, more 'hi, hello, how are you, how've you been?' time. So for instance, I got spend my time chilling with old friends and catching up (Abet, Den, Julian, Mela), hang with new ones (Peachy), and others in between. (errr. not too many)

I'm excited about the things I'll learn. Hopefully I shall be able to take an adequate grasp of my craft to get into Heights' Ateneo workshop. For once.

Time to go.

The LSS still hasn't died down. The crying has, though.

Got a letter in the mail today
and i'm glad you're doing fine
You tell me your missing me
and it's cold in New York City
well me and the girls were quite alright
thinking about you night after night
and if you feel the same way too
just imagine me whispering to you

chorus:
everyday i'll always love you
everyday i'm always thinking of you
everyday's another lonely day without you
everyday you're here beside me
everyday i'm always dreaming of you
everyday i will be right here waiting for you
everyday...hoo

It's another long and sleepless night
And thoughts run through my mind
Guess I'm just feeling lonely
It's been so empty since you've been gone

I'll be holding on for it won't be long
I'll be counting the days til i see u home
And if u feel the same way too
Just remember these words i'll say to you

Repeat chorus

Everyday...everyday

Nge. Andrama ko bigla. :p

The cool thing about it when I'm down is that I get an excuse to do three things I love: write, pray and play basketball. :D And considering that I just witnessed Detroit win the Championship, playing ball would be a good way to spend time now that the season's over. :)

Although I still can't write anything cool yet. Pero sige. "One page a day," it is said in an essay at an old Heights issue (a certain Mrs. Toravilla), "and in a year you have a novel." Pretty good advice, I say.

I'm grateful for the concerned people. Thank you. :)

On the positive side, astig mga teachers ko!! :D Hotness mga lectures nina Fr. Javellana, Fr. Buenconsejo and Prof. Garcia!! :D Aliww!!! Para sakin, laging sulit pag mahusay mag-lecture. Sana mataas ding mamigay ng grades. Kung ganun, I'ma gonna love this sem. =)

current music: a playlist of senti stuff.

No, the LSS has not yet died down.

goodbye
You have a goodbye kiss- much passion and longing,
but never lasting.

What kind of kiss are you?

Rita is on the paper! Congrats Ritz!! :D

I'm grateful to the people who posted comments on my LJ. THank you, thank you. It's just tricky since there isn't anything left to occupy my idle mind. Besides, schoolwork isn't all that tough yet. Medyo marami pang oras bago kailangan ng seryosong tutukan sa acads.

So how am I... I'm still a bit tired, although I'm happy I took a nice long nap this afternoon. May nabawi nang tulog.

Yesterday, my brother worried me sick. It was 8 PM in school, and raining to boot. I was waiting in the pub for my dad to pick me up, when I got a text message. It told me my brother was not yet in the house. Ordinarily, it's not a problem, but he was due back home since 2 PM. Raining and dark, I was troubled. I got up, went on a little search expedition for about an hour, and did not find him.

The good news is that he was ok. Haay.

Kid brothers. :p

current LSS: Agot Isidro's "Everyday", sung by Ate Kules kasi ang rakstar ng boses nya. :D

I'm tired. I'm not feelin' a mood to chat, and the whole weekend, I was feelin' a slight tinge worse. So I'll add some items to my blog...

Item #1: Bati na kami ng bro ko. Yes, he said sorry. I also decided (on the spot) to give him the mug I used this weekend na bagong bili. He was real happy, saying "May Ateneo mug na rin ako! Yeah!" Hehehe.

Me and my bro had a fight. Sinuntok at sinapak ako ng bro ko. And what do I do? I give him a mug. Is that good or bad? Am I encouraging him? :p

Item #2: Speaking of my weekend, ang sarap mag-staff sa A-Days. :D Staffers, I love you guys.

Congratulations are in order to Ate Dada and Mara for making vive-rector! :D Aliw aliw aliw! :D This'll be cool.

So that makes Third and Ky rectors, Mara and Dada vice rectors. Anybody who wants to take their Days, the batch coming in October would be a FANTASTIC time. :)

And any Dayzers out there na matagal nang hindi nag-staff, or never pang nag-staff... samahan nyo ako! :D Masaya siya! Pramis! (yes Dani. isa ka na dun. :D hehe, peace tayo. :D)

which brings me to...

Item #3: Antagal pa pala ng next batch. A25 came as a blessing to us in A24. Kating-kati kasi kami mag-staff, lalo na't dahil sa impluensya nina Mommies Tammy and Anj. It shows; Barre, Vannie, Sheena, Cy, Paul, Kiel and I staffed, Vannie and Me sponsoring. Bumisita pa bigla si Aice at si Patch. So that makes 9 out of us 11 who came in and (in our ways) added something to the batch.

Next batch, babalik na si Mommy Tammy, and hopefully all of us too. Sana sina Jackie, Patch, Aice at Em maka-staff na. As in, "it's showtime" kind of staff. Hopefully, A25 will be there too. I really really hope so.

It's only fair, dammit! Tinubos ko ang pagod ko para sa kanila! :p Hehehe. Joke lang. Love ko sila, and it showed. :)

Item #4: As expected, I'm hella drowsy. I'll be walking up out of the village in an hour back to school. Mahal na mag-commute. Well, not really. But expensive enough for me to encourage me driving to school for a change. I mean, what once cost twenty bucks to go home now sets me back PhP 25.50. Sheesh.

Item #5: I saw Crisel this morning. She was spastic, and the "high" from being a participant's showing itself. Hwow. Now, if only I wasn't so drowsy, I'd have been more enthusiastic to catch up. So we didn't keep it long, as she had to finish her load-rev and I needed sleep. Oh well.

But fine, like Third and Ky tell us sponsors, "You've got your whole lives to tell stories." Yep. Sige lang. Either way, I'm so proud of what I've achieved: sponsoring 2 ppl on my first batch staffing. Yebah. :)

Kaia, I really hope I did you proud. :)

Item #6: Joshua, Mara, Jeb... You guys, I'm really sorry...

THE LAKERS LOST GAME 4!

Yey! Pistons are up 3-1!!! :D Buti na lang naka-uwi ako agad at naabutan ko pa!! :D

Item #7: I missed LnK Contract Signing, and Bay told me all about it this morning. Well, sort of. She told me about the gimmik after (Which is often just as important. :D), and okey naman daw... kwentuhan, that sort of thing. Fine fine. :)

Now, I'ma take a nap. Later, it'll look like rain, pero keri lang. And I'm gonna take my first course class for CW. Yey! :D

current music: What About Us? - Brandy on LAUNCHCAST.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Whatever, whoever, however this stupid "NTSearch" bullshit got into my PC... grrr.

It's stupid. Somehow, it's got some kind of tracer cookie in my computer. Then, almost any site I surf into doesn't load. And they always redirect me to NTSearch.com.

Bullshit.

Argh. What a way to spend my last night of my vacation. Because come tomorrow, I'll be at Days, and any sort of communique will be lost.

Stupid stupid stupid.

At least Launchcast is working ok.

I've yet to write my Palancas. I've already sorted almost everything...clothes ko, letters and some extra music practice is in order. But everything else looks just peachy.

I'm really excited. It's a big day. It's my first staffing assignment. After which, pasukan na at last. And then, well... we'll see. Like Angel told me on the phone, "Kaya yan."

Which reminds me, I'm really happy for her and Nino. Ang sweet naman! Almost makes ya start wishing on stars. Well, almost. :)

I'm still mad at my brother, if you must know. He hasn't apologized. I've forgiven him though. But he ought to still ask.

Kuya Jess, you make everything possible. Make my heart ready to love, to give, to bleed. Give me the strength to endure, to be friends to those who aren't, to feed others in spite of my own hunger, to love in spite of my own losses. To be happy when I'm crying. With you, my Lord, brother, friend, all is possible. Aman Lord, Amen. Basta ikaw.
current music: The Way You Look Tonight - Frank Sinatra

He didn't know how he got himself into this.

It was early afternoon when he arrived. For the second year in a row, he stood in front of Ateneo freshmen, all decked in yellow, talking and talking and talking. Only, he wasn't part of the TnT's anymore, but instead, he was talking on behalf of his organization, Heights. Now, instead of being the welcoming committee, he was playing the role of some kind of salesman, promoting the org.

"...Of course, if you're not really into literature..." went the spiel, given by the ones who were there since the morning. He felt sorry he couldn't help them. But somehow, grateful that circumstance kept him from having to tire out his voice. He did, have music practice later that evening, and wanted to protect that voice.

He saw many familiar faces among the TnT's who conducted their freshman blocks to their stand. Camille, Peter, Birdie, Nikki, Rae, Cong, Pao Toledo... some were new to the job, but nevertheless familiar, like Andrew and Chuck. Others like Burn he saw on his way there, leading the ones clad in blue to classrooms for GD's. He smiled, and as the one by one filed their way out, he felt a pang of missing the work.

But hey. He wanted to sing, for Days no less. If he did end up TnT'ing, the infamous 3rd day TnT Throat would encroach on him right there. So in a sense, he was grateful. Providence garbled Carly's text just so he'd be there.

Little did he know that he wouldn't have to do a lot of singing. Kuya Carlo and Ate Jem would shoulder most of that. He'd just have to help sort out some of the other performance times, and hardly need to open his mouth. He didn't know it, but the day of him regretting his incompetence with musical instruments had finally come.

And the day was still young.

===============

He walked along Fr. Masterson Drive. He had previously run into Issa and Mendel, with two other LogCom friends of theirs. It was nice just seeing them again. In his head, of course, he knew that people would probably start making "issuse" of them walking side-by-side. He didn't say anything, but smiled and wished them good day.

He was passing the East carpark, and looked to his left. There stood the Comm dept. He remembered one year ago, he wept at its doors, along with several scores of TnTs like him.

TnT's no longer like him. For he wasn't one this year.

He watched them file out of the Covered Courts, headed to those same doors. He resisted the urge of crashing the "senti session". He nodded to himself, knowing it was not his place to be there. It was for them.

Next year na lang.

Of course, he smirked at the thought of crashing the party.

===============

If he didn't feel dumb before, he was feeling it now.

For the first time ever, he was standing inside the MRT, headed to the Ortigas station. He took Jason's advice, taking the Katipunan LRT to Cubao, then getting on the other train in Cubao headed to Shaw. Which sucked, because his destination was something closer to Greenhills. In effect, he wasted something like Php 11.50 just to tire his feet.

Fine, fine. He admitted he enjoyed his first train ride all by himself. He remembered as a child taking the LRT from Baclaran headed towards his father's Manila clinic, but that was a long time ago, and he was with his parents. So at least he took pride having done so.

He got off the station. He had to walk to Greenhills West where they would be meeting. The sun was gone; it was 6 PM and no cab drivers seemed willing to take him along. He figured they must've been hungry, and let it go. Besides, he wasted enough cash on the Jollibee dinner way back at Katipunan, and the slice of Domino's pizza plus juice (both for P25) at the station. He didn't mind walking, as his spending budget of a hundred was already broken.

As he walked, he cleared his head. It was nighttime. He was nearing the meeting place, and felt a sense of fulfillment.

Balita: hindi ako naka-driving practice kanina. Remember my previous post a while ago? The one with me being awake at 2AM? Well, I couldn't get back to sleep, and by 6:30, I was drowsy like shit. Much to the dismay of my parents, I didn't get to resume the practice.

Now they want to resume it tomorrow morning. That is terrible. That makes me heading to OrSem OrgTours in the morning a close impossibillity. Really. My family will demand my presence in the morning, so sa PM lang ata ako makaka-tulong. Shet shet shet.

Then there's music practice at the evening. Oh no...

As you can see, it's around 4 AM. That's because I woke up at around 2 AM. I couldn't get back to sleep, no matter how pleasant my thoughts drifted to. Oh well. At least I'm up early.

Apparently, Mom and Dad couldn't find a carpool service for my sister. That now means I'll be primary driver, and that I also have to step up my practice driving. That means I've got one week... minus Wednesday, where I'll have orgtours and music practice, and Friday to Sunday, where I'll be staffing for Days.

==============

It's nice when people ask me about LnK. :p I've spent the better part of my tutoring career justifying what I do in my summer. (Notice I hardly invited any high school friends to tag along with me.) For too long, it was my escape from the problems; I did the work to take my mind off some things. I still do the work to keep myself from dwelling on them. Now, I do this thing for very different reasons: friends, the chance to help kids, the chance to work with friends both old and new, the stories you can tell after each day. It's still undeniably fun. It'd be more fun with more people. But that's ok. It'll be nice any how.

==============

Yesterday was pretty fun. I woke up late. :p I went practice driving with Dad. I still can't quite get parking. Banas lang talaga. But fine. I'll get it down hopefully.

After some net surfing, I took the customary walk up the hill heading out to Della. I'm not sure whether it was the rain or the colder wheather, but I gave up on walking. I hailed a taxi passing by, and ended up spending fifty pesos for a trip to della that usual costs 16 pesos plus walking.

I sat in the church and prayed. I then met up with Bay, Debbi, Carla, Mel, Jeloi, Migs Tirona and Kat. We headed to the garden room and played cards till Perry, VJ, Big Pao, Lugxi, Chrissie, Fatz and Eric got there. We took taxis and went to RaPao's birthday party.

Okey na okey yung party. Mmmm... wait, lemme qualify: we didn't really participate in the "party proper"...that's what RaPao's family were busy with. We just spent the day with the birthday celebrant. :D And that was cool. The food was great, although I think Carla couldn't finish her food (she ended up getting the pig's ear. ech.). I, on the other hand, became slightly addicted to the buko pandan. Yey! Sweet.

Migs left with Debbi, Bay and Mel and tripped back to Katipunan where Mel was to be picked up and where the three others live nearby. We sat together chatting, and then went up to RaPao's room to chill (after a CR mishap c/o Carla, ahaha!). We watched a pirate DVD of Troy, while birthday boy and myself told fortunes for the girls. (at this point, umuwi na si Jeloi kasi ayaw nyang gabihin siya) Wala lang, nagiging manghuhula na talaga si RaPao! I gave him card meanings and spreads, and now he's pretty good at it. Aliw din mga results para sa kanya at kay Perry. :p Cool din yung reading ni Chrissie, kasi may parang sobrang natamaang tugma. :p

They decided to head to the Riverbanks, but I decided against coming along. It was late and my cell was dead. I also knew that past 10 PM, I'd have trouble getting home.

Right now, I think I should have come along. When I got back home in front of the computer, chatting with Michiko about my day (awww... di siya nakasama), my Dad arrived and asked "Akala ko may party ka?" THat's when it struck me: I missed the "real" party. Haay.

Either way, I don't mind. Like Michiko said, kailangan nang mamili ng mga gimik, lalo na't magiging sunud-sunod na sila. And to think next week na pasukan.

Power Rangers Movie!

What movie Do you Belong in?(many different outcomes!)
brought to you by Quizilla

This'll be my schedule for the next few months:

TTH
0600: wake up, breakfast, etc
0615: leave the house to take Christine to school
0730: be in school, on TTH, it's a class
1030: TTH classes end. yep, all of em.
1600: maybe get Christine from Pisay.

on MWF's...
0600: wake up, breakfast, etc
0630: leave the house.
0930: that's when my 1st class starts
1530: is when my class starts too
and on Mondays... I have a 4:30 to 7:30 PM class.

haay. It looks like a bump in the road to have to adjust my Monday-to-Tuesday transition, because my classes on Tuesday are early morning Philo classes. So I must get my work done by the weekend.

At least on any other day, I have a good "lag-time" between my classes and the start of my day. I don't get the old half-day headstart to my weekend. I do get a good half-day start to my Wednesdays and Fridays. I also get something like 5 hours free on MWF's in the form of a gigantically gross break.

Ewan. I'll deal. :D

current music: the usual Track 17 of Parokya ni Edgar, but this time I ACTUALLY HAVE THE CD! :D HAHAHA!
I am praying that this advisement paper Xander wrote out will hold up in the registration. Otherwise, I'm in deep shit.

You're a Speak & Spell!! You nerd, you. Just
because you were disguised as a toy doesn't
mean you weren't educational, you sneaky
bastard.

What childhood toy from the 80s are you?
brought to you by Quizilla

Haha! Funny, I really did have that toy as a child! Hahaha! Or did I get the version that taught Math? hmmm. ewan! hahaha! :p Hwow. Pity me, I grew up a bit of a dork. :D But in fairness, I did ace Grade school-level English and Math. :) But that was a long time ago. I did like how it could speak the numbers when typed. hehehe... It really, really was a fun toy. I miss it already. :p Maybe when I'm older I'd get one for my kids.

==============

I will risk something by typing this. Bahala na si Batman.

I had a fight with my brother, Roel. I didn't fight back. He was all over me, and if it were judged, Manny Pacquiao dugas or not, he was ahead on points. Fine fine. He got pissed because I was cutting in on his time wit Diana. But hey, he promised he'd give up the computer, and went back on his word.

Nauwi siya with Dad and Mom breaking up the fight, Dad giving us a sermon (mostly on Roel's behavior but also on my "rudeness"), and me now alone writing. I said "I'm sorry", but he didn't buy it. He was too mad. Heh. Bahala siya. I'm angry too, but less so. I apologized to my Mom, because in the heat of it all, she's the one most hurt, and it wouldn't have happened if I weren't there.

I'm starting to REALLY not care about what happens to my brother. I love him, but he (through his own admission to me and his friends) doesn't love anybody in this family (except himself he says, but even then he doesn't show that self-love). All he's got is that girl whom he says isn't his girlfriend naman. Ewan. He said he'd move on, but he never did. He carries this "me against the world" attitude that angers me because it's not realistic, nor valid. More and more it's all he thinks about, and it's starting to alienate him from the rest of the family. And that stinks.

"Don't hate the player, hate the game." I won't judge Roel. I'm judging what Roel has become, and what he can be without the needless, stupid drama. I'm angry at how his feelings lead him to take for granted the people who love him. I never said anything about his friends who talk of "hottie Kiera Knightly" and "being saved" in the same light, but it just plain disgusts me, and I fear that's what he'll become. And I know he's a great guy who doesn't believe in it, nor wish to be told about it.

*prayer* Kuya Jess, prepare my heart, that I may love as you loved. And that I'd give as you gived. That you may bless my bwiset, bastard brother because I love him. And that if I find the Miss Manalo of my life, she'd be somebody all the world will rejoice to being by my side, and not dividing me from people who love me. */prayer*

current music: on Channel [V] is "Southside" - Lloyd feat. Ashanti

Update: our family driver of 21 years has tendered his resignation. Mang Ragma, you will be missed.

In the meantime, Dad took me out to re-learn the ins and outs of driving. From now on, it looks like I'll be the one driving myself, my brother and my sister to school. Yep. All me. It also means that even if my sched doesn't need me to be up at 5:30 AM, I'll still be up by then, getting ready to take her to Pisay.

I hate going to Pisay. I always have. It's hard to explain, but my old high school is no longer "home" to me. The many changes it's gone through and the lack of familiar faces make the place unusually hostile. And I never really did have a spot for my school back then, so I doubt I'll ever get round liking it at once.

But hey. I've gone through four years there. I'm able to go to a fantastic school now because of the crap I had to do (even if I never got to use the extra Chemistry and Physics classes).

The most charming of people had to go through the stupidest shit.

Anyway, I drove myself to school to get my RegForm. Considering how I've got this monkey on my shoulder after I hit a tricylce before, it's an achievement. I drove myself home in spite of the rain. It was tricky. I'm still not used to driving wide, large SUV's like the Starex. At least being massive makes it easy to "bully" smaller cars to give up the lane. haha. Oh, and I also signed up the Ford Everest for a car sticker, and I used it to my name.

You know, I'm actually kinda psyched. Maybe I'll really have a car from now on. No more asking friends to ferry me across places. I can now go where I need to, at least. :)

It also tinges me a bit sad. Dad is now teaching me one of the "things you oughta know before I finally go" things. It tells me how fast time flies, and that my time with Dad is not forever. It's a real sad thought. I've spent several years quietly harboring grudges against Dad for some stupid things. Now, driving with him this morning sorta reminded me the reasons why I love him.

Either way, I'll be able to drive myself at last. haha. I guess I've got that 'badge of freedom' people tend to crave. Nga lang, I'm not expecting the freedom to "explore the city" or go chilling with the gang every weekend just yet. I've still got to give up some of that freedom to pick Chimoms back and forth from Pisay. And gas money! Shucks. It's always cheaper to commute, I say.

I miss summer. I miss my friends. But then again... I'm not worried. :) Mahal ko sila, and I've faith that nothing wrong shall befall them.

current music: NRG - Just Blaze

Guess what? I'm on something I'd like to call "LnK High". :D

What's it like? Think of giving up your summer to help kids to learn, then spend the last week before classes start non-stop partying/gimmicking with some of the nicest, coolest, hottest, most amazing people on earth. Yeah. THat's it. :)

There's a TnT High, and a Days high, each of them special in their own ways. Ngayon ko lang ata nagkaroon ng LnK high. First in perhaps 3 years. Maybe it's because of the outing, but for the most part, it's simply knowing you've done some amazing stuff.

So this is why God kept me from TnT'ing this year. He wanted me to finally take part in another LnK Outing.

Ewan ko. Saya kasi ng pag-bond kasama nilang lahat. I love them to bits, even if I don't know all of them so well. Ganun lang eh. That's love; no reasons required.

It also helps to be in a nice place to do nothing but have fun.

Well, my day wasn't so perfect. I left the house with a little rice and a wee bit of the vege-beefsteak for breakfast. I squeezed with Luigi, Leo, Parel and Jerome on the way to Antipolo in the car, with the way plagued with heavy traffic. Then, to complicate things, Jon's van gets hit from behind! So everything got delayed... We also lost the game. So fine.

And everything else was just plain peaches from there. Bliss. :) From sliding down the poolslide, to tossing the football in the pool, to eating with everybody all together while chilling to reggae music, to Chino's speech at Burger King, down to the car ride home c/o Mickee... Wala lang. Masaya ako.

Not everyone was perfectly, 100% happiness. Iba-iba ang tao, at sa aming grupong 41 katao, may sariling "plotlines" kami. Hard to know them all, let alone tell them.

So un. I loved my day. :) My summer is officially over, and I can't quite ask for more (except maybe being a TnT. But I digress. :p)

I'm tired, broke, and a bit worried about the details for reg and next sem and days. But I'm happy. Really happy. :)

Sa mga iba dyan, sali kayo next summer. Ako bahala sa inyo. :D
